Judging

Judging

Nevada Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is seeking family and consumer sciences professionals and educators to play an important supporting role in the career, professional, and personal development of the top high school family and consumer sciences students in our state.

More than 250 students from FCCLA chapters across the state of Nevada will be competing in nearly 30 competitive events to validate their skills, knowledge, and aptitude for family and consumer sciences. Events range from apparel, culinary arts, and interior design to service projects, leadership development, and early childhood. While some of the competitions are exam-based, most require judging by practicing professionals to identify the top students in the competition.

The FCCLA competitions will take place as part of the organization’s annual state leadership conference in Reno, Nevada. Judges evaluate student presentations, demonstrations, and skill performances.
